The PAN Vegan Pledge is coming for a second time in 2013 to Chapel Hill!
Dates: Saturdays in November – November 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30.
The PAN Vegan Pledge will be coming to Chapel Hill, NC, again in 2014! Details are coming soon.
The first 2013 Triangle PAN Vegan Pledge brought together an enthusiastic and diverse group of pledges for an amazing month. Our pledges really helped to make this year’s program so successful. They brought energy, curiosity, and a willingness to consider new perspectives. But we had some wonderful speakers, too! The Pledge brings in presenters from all over the vegan community–we had speakers from universities, advocacy groups, and dining establishments, and their dynamic presentations brought a comprehensive and approachable view of veganism to our pledges. The Pledge has been a transformative experience for many of our participants, and we are thrilled to have been able to offer this program to our community once again.
What pledges are saying about our program:
“I don’t think I could be the vegan I am striving to be without the help of the Pledge.”
“I loved the knowledge, openness, and enthusiasm of the presenters, coordinators, and mentors. I liked that at least one of the presenters (Stephanie) emphasized healthy vegan eating free from oils, salt, and sugar. It was great that presenters had ties to community groups/activities (like the veg*n meetup, Matt’s pop-up vegan brunches) we could connect with beyond the TVP.”
“I thoroughly enjoyed the vegan pledge series ! This was educational and helpful including the access to a mentor for further questions. The lectures and cooking demonstrations were the perfect mix for someone starting out in this area.”
“There needs to be a ’10′ choice. This was one of the best things I have ever attended or participated in; the people who ran it have been incredibly knowledgeable and resourceful; readily willing to support and assist us.”
“It gave me a chance to transition towards opting veganism, it’s a ‘gateway’ activity, an excellent starting point to practice.”
